These days the Unite 2 Developement group is on fire with more than 3 ROMs getting released per week not to mention the decompiled and ultimately efficient GODz kernel. We are so excited to flash them and try on our phones. Most the times, we face null or invalid IMEI and no IMEI no Network and no Internet. Nothing hurts like hell than No internet. I've already written couple of posts for restoring IMEI with apps and xposed modules, these method will surely help you for invalid IMEI. But theres also a case NULL IMEI which probably occurs due to improper flashing, error while flashing or corrupted system partition.
To fix this issue, the only way is you need to flash the Stock ROM using SP Flash tool. Most of our geeks, dont use PC for trying out ROMs. So, it'll be like they need a spare phone to rescue.
In this post, Im gonna give a flashable zip that not only fixes the NULL IMEI, but also puts some duplicate IMEI not sure whose it is. To find your IMEI, remove the battery and you will find it printed.
So after flashing this you will get your network signal, but it may go off after a bit because the network may find that two Phone Numbers assigned with same IMEI. Its best to restore / rewrite your own IMEI using the guide.
Procedure:
- Reboot to recovery (CTR or TWRP)
- Wipe Cache
- Select Install Zip.
- Locate IMEI Fix.zip
- Select Yes to flash.
- Reboot.
- Follow the guide to restore Original IMEI.
